Pausing Your Power Dynamic

Should you hit pause on your power dynamic when life becomes difficult and/or busy?

Some people advocate pausing a power dynamic when life gets too busy and overwhelming, however I am against this practice. I am even against it should there be some sort of notable and disruptive life event.

As a lifestyle Domme I expect the dynamic to operate around, well ‘life’ and life is always going to at times become busy or challenging. I don’t view this as a reason for pauses.

My feelings are this – if you don’t feel you can keep up a dynamic amid the normal challenges of every day life, including when it’s busy and difficult, you should not be entering into the dynamic in the first place.

Any high quality power dynamic should be capable of operating through challenging circumstances, and the Dominant should have the capability to make any adaptions required during any difficult times – without needing to abandon the entire dynamic.

Power dynamics are RELATIONSHIPS and I do not advocate that it’s ok to abandon that relationship just because life got difficult. If you feel the need to do that, I’d suggest that the relationship was never right for you in the first place, or that you do not take your commitment to it very seriously.
